Elle “Women In Music” Artist Aubrie Sellers Releases Exclusive Spotify Singles

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (June 22, 2017) – “Country’s next big star” (Nylon) Aubrie Sellers continues to shine with the release of her Spotify Singles, available now. The Spotify Singles program launched in 2016 and allows artists to record a pair of songs exclusively for one of the world’s most popular streaming music platforms. The Atlantic Records / Warner Music Nashville recording artist revamped her hard-rocking Taste of Country Critic’s Pick “Liar Liar” and put her garage-country spin on Coldplay’s song “Green Eyes.” Sellers recorded the two tracks with her full touring band at the Spotify Studios in New York City.

"I'm honored that Spotify asked me to be a part of their Singles Sessions,” said Sellers. “This was such a great experience for us, and it's really great that people can get a feel for what it's like sonically when we play live. I was so impressed with the studio team at Spotify and had a blast recording my version of Coldplay's "Green Eyes," a song that I've loved for a long time and finally had the chance to give it some steel guitar."

The critically praised garage-country pioneer, who began the year trading between Miranda Lambert’s “Highway Vagabond” and The Cadillac Three’s “Black Roses” tours, will hit the road for a four-date run with Bobby Bones & The Raging Idiots in August. A member of Bones’ “Class of 2017,” which features artists he believes are poised for a breakthrough in the industry, Sellers will join Jackie Lee and label mate Bailey Bryan in Louisville, St. Louis, Madison and Chicago.

The Pandora “Artist to Watch” was recently featured in Elle magazine’s “Women In Music” issue alongside other female artists making waves in the industry, such Oscar-nominated singer and actress Hailee Steinfeld, songwriter and streaming sensation Julia Michaels and up-and-coming pop/R&B diva Lizzo. Praised for her “rebel spirit” (Rolling Stone) and the “Southern-rock muscle behind her gentle voice” (The New York Times), Sellers’ debut record received rave reviews upon its release. Cosmopolitan Magazine explained the album’s main message as “a thudding, rock-tinged tale of growing up and heading out on your own, complete with a biting critique of today’s beauty – and boy-obsessed culture,” while The New York Post praised its “exciting injection of grit and aggression.”
